From the University of
Hawai'i Press comes Language Documentation & Conservation, a
peer-reviewed online journal "dedicated to serving the needs of linguists
and language activists engaged in [the] essential work" of documenting and
preserving the world's lesser-known languages. Visitors to this journal will
find articles from a range of international scholars on topics such as the
goals of language documentation, lexicography, field reports on endangered
languages, and language data management. Currently in its twelfth volume, Language
Documentation & Conservation is edited by Nicholas Thieberger of the
University of Melbourne (Australia) and boasts an editorial board composed of
scholars from around the globe. This free journal produces one volume per year,
and new articles are published and uploaded on a rolling basis. Interested
readers may subscribe to Language Documentation & Conservation to
receive email notifications of new issues.
