Top 10 ranking: These are the largest US publishers

In February, we ran a listing of the country’s largest publishers ranked by print units sold through outlets that report to NPD BookScan. While that approach has its limitations (it doesn’t include e-book sales or sales at outlets that don’t report to BookScan), it does provide a look at how the largest trade publishers below the Big Five stack up. Now, NPD has put together a list that includes e-book sales from its PubTrack Digital service, which aggregates e-book unit sales supplied by more than 450 publishers, including the Big Five. ...
